Meet
Aaron

My name is Aaron Hodges. I am a personal trainer and have a Master’s degree in Exercise Science. I work with individuals struggling with physical limitations and I help them improve their physical function so they feel confident in their bodies and what they can do.

Before COVID I liked to participate in 24 hour runs, martial arts, and hiking. Now, I enjoy losing my COVID-15, running, spending time with my 2 sons, and playing the occasional video games.

Growing up I always liked sports and I knew I wanted to do something in the sporting world. I enjoyed the body, how it performed and moved, so I considered being a pro-team trainer. However, once I got to college, I realized the pro-team life wasn’t for me.

After I got my degree, my uncle got me a job at a Physical Therapy clinic. After a year and a half, I decided I wanted to go back to school for my masters to further my education. During this time, I was student interning, student teaching, and was working a job in Los Gatos that specialized in hormone therapy through exercise. Unfortunately, during the recession the hormone therapy clinic closed.

From there I became a trainer at a gym and the rest is kind of history. I developed close relationships with clients and they wanted to do more work outside of the gym. So, I got a warehouse to train those clients and we had a lot of fun. Rope climbing, tires, you name it!

Then, the next recession hit. And the warehouse closed down right before Thanksgiving.

Determined to continue working with my clients I ended up training clients at the Campbell track in winter. A little while later I ended up getting this studio and have been training clients here and over Zoom since March 15 th 2020.

Over this time, I have used my experience to give talks to older individuals about how exercise can improve their daily living. And many clients credit me with enhancing their quality of life.

I had one client, Julia, climb Mt. Kilimanjaro at the age of 65 years old.

She had never done anything like that before, we worked on overall body strengthening and preparing her body for the climb. She had a great time and feeling so empowered she decided she never wanted to go to work again and made a career changing choice after that.

I love helping people feel confident in their bodies and do my best to show the people I work with the utmost care.
